If it is not possible to provide accessibility or to provide access in an alternative form within this period, it should be done at the latest within 2 months from the date of the request.<\/p>\n<section>\n<h3 id=\"a11y-procedura\" class=\"h5\">Complaints and appeals<\/h3>\n<p>If an entity refuses to comply with the request to provide accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint may be lodged against such action.<\/p>\n<p>Once all possibilities have been exhausted, the complaint can also be sent to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rpo.gov.pl\/content\/jak-zglosic-sie-do-rzecznika-praw-obywatelskich\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"link will open in a new window\">Commissioner for Human Rights<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Contact for people with disabilities:<\/p>\n<p>It is possible to use the help of a sign language interpreter or a guide-interpreter when handling matters in the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection.<\/p>\n<p>An entitled person who intends to use the services of an interpreter must notify the office at least 3 working days before the planned event (i.e., the planned visit to the office), except in emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>Applications can be made in one of the following forms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>by e-mail to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:sekretariatdg@gios.gov.pl\">sekretariatdg@gios.gov.pl<\/a><\/li>\n<li>by letter (3 days counted from the day of receipt of the notice by the office);<\/li>\n<li>by telephone \u2013 via a third party to (+48 22) 36-92-630;<\/li>\n<li>by fax to (+48 22) 825-98-15<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application should also include information on the preferred method of communication (PJM \u2013 Polish Sign Language, SJM \u2013 Language and Sign System, SKOGN \u2013 Deaf-Blind Communication) and a brief description of the issue to be discussed at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The interpreter service for persons with disabilities, as defined in the Act of 27 August 1997 on professional and social rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities (Journal of Laws 1997 No. 123, item 776), is free of charge.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"mt-4\">\n<h2 id=\"a11y-architektura\" class=\"h4\">Architectural accessibilityczna<\/h2>\n<p>The headquarters of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection is located at ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. No. 3, (02-362) Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>The building is located in the city centre in the Ochota district, between ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. and ul. Bia\u0142obrzeska. The CIEP headquarters can be reached by public transport, buses no. 136, 154, 167, 172, 186, 208, 414, 521 and trams no. 1, 7, 9, 14, 15, 25 \u2013 \u201cBitwy Warszawskiej\u201d stop. The main entrance to the CIEP headquarters is located at ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. It is possible to enter the premises through a gate from ul. Bia\u0142obrzeska \u2013 after prior notification. There are public parking spaces for vehicles available in front of the main entrance to the building. There is an inscription identifying the institution above the main entrance to the building \u2013 G\u0142\u00f3wny Inspektorat Ochrony \u015arodowiska (Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection). The main entrance to the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection building is not wheelchair accessible. There is a security desk in the main hall on the left. Each Visitor is registered in an entry\/exit log. Visitors are escorted into the meeting place by the person with whom they have an appointment. It is possible to enter the CIEP building with a service dog or a guide dog. The building does not have an induction loop or sound and guidance devices for blind and visually impaired people. Apart from that, there is no Braille signage in the building. The corridors and lifts are adapted for people with disabilities (the buttons in the lifts are marked in Braille). The lifts are equipped with speaker systems that inform about the position of the lift and stopping on a particular floor. The building is protected 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n<p>The headquarters of the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection is located on the 12th floor, Al. Jerozolimskie 92, 00-807 Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>There are three steps leading up to the entrance, with a wheelchair ramp on the left. The reception desk is located to the left of the entrance. Further passage is secured with gates, next to which there is a gate unlocked by the receptionist through which a person in a wheelchair can pass. There are four lifts in the building, behind the gates, to enable people with disabilities to move around the building. There are accessible toilets in the building. The corridors are 160 cm wide and the walls, doors and room numbers are in contrasting colours. There is no voice information or induction loops in the facility. There are designated parking spaces for people with disabilities in front of the building.
