Accessibility statement

The Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This accessibility statement applies to the website powietrze.gios.gov.pl/depoz concerning atmospheric deposition, operating as part of the “Air Quality” portal.

Everyone has the right:

The request must include:

  • contact details of the person making the request,
  • an indication of the page or the element of the page the request refers to,
  • an indication of a convenient form in which the information can be made accessible, if the request applies to inaccessible information to be made accessible in an alternative form.

The request should be processed promptly, within 7 days at the latest. If it is not possible to provide accessibility or to provide access in an alternative form within this period, it should be done at the latest within 2 months from the date of the request.

Complaints and appeals

If an entity refuses to comply with the request to provide accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint may be lodged against such action.

Once all possibilities have been exhausted, the complaint can also be sent to the Commissioner for Human Rights.

It is possible to use the help of a sign language interpreter or a guide-interpreter when handling matters in the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection.

An entitled person who intends to use the services of an interpreter must notify the office at least 3 working days before the planned event (i.e., the planned visit to the office), except in emergencies.

The interpreter service for persons with disabilities, as defined in the Act of 27 August 1997 on professional and social rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities (Journal of Laws 1997 No. 123, item 776), is free of charge.

Architectural accessibilityczna

The headquarters of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection is located at ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. No. 3, (02-362) Warsaw.

The building is located in the city centre in the Ochota district, between ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. and ul. Białobrzeska. The CIEP headquarters can be reached by public transport, buses no. 136, 154, 167, 172, 186, 208, 414, 521 and trams no. 1, 7, 9, 14, 15, 25 – “Bitwy Warszawskiej” stop. The main entrance to the CIEP headquarters is located at ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. It is possible to enter the premises through a gate from ul. Białobrzeska – after prior notification. There are public parking spaces for vehicles available in front of the main entrance to the building. There is an inscription identifying the institution above the main entrance to the building – Główny Inspektorat Ochrony Środowiska (Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection). The main entrance to the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection building is not wheelchair accessible. There is a security desk in the main hall on the left. Each Visitor is registered in an entry/exit log. Visitors are escorted into the meeting place by the person with whom they have an appointment. It is possible to enter the CIEP building with a service dog or a guide dog. The building does not have an induction loop or sound and guidance devices for blind and visually impaired people. Apart from that, there is no Braille signage in the building. The corridors and lifts are adapted for people with disabilities (the buttons in the lifts are marked in Braille). The lifts are equipped with speaker systems that inform about the position of the lift and stopping on a particular floor. The building is protected 24 hours a day.

The headquarters of the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection is located on the 12th floor, Al. Jerozolimskie 92, 00-807 Warsaw.

There are three steps leading up to the entrance, with a wheelchair ramp on the left. The reception desk is located to the left of the entrance. Further passage is secured with gates, next to which there is a gate unlocked by the receptionist through which a person in a wheelchair can pass. There are four lifts in the building, behind the gates, to enable people with disabilities to move around the building. There are accessible toilets in the building. The corridors are 160 cm wide and the walls, doors and room numbers are in contrasting colours. There is no voice information or induction loops in the facility. There are designated parking spaces for people with disabilities in front of the building. There is no Braille signage in the building, no contrasting signage or signage in enlarged print for blind and visually impaired people.
