RULES FOR USING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THIS WEBSITE

This website, found under the address: powietrze.gios.gov.pl/depoz is administered by the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection (CIEP). By using the site, you are bound by these regulations, which set out the rules for handling the data and materials published on the website, in particular the conditions for downloading and reusing them.

  1. On the pages of this website, you can review information on precipitation chemistry and assessments of the pollutant deposition to the ground. The website provides information on the measurement network and the range of measurements carried out at individual stations, as well as measurement results in the form of data on maps, tables and charts. The data comes from the national air quality database JPOAT. There are also thematic publications made available.
  2. The use of the materials provided on the website is free of charge.
  3. The use of the website is subject to the laws of the Republic of Poland and the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Poland.
  4. The information available on the website may be reviewed and reused in whole or in substantial part. The conditions for reusing, the information on the charges for reusing and the information on the legal remedies available in the event of refusal to provide consent to reuse and on the right to object, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 11 August 2021 on open data and reuse of public sector information (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2023, item 1524), are specified in the Public Information Bulletin in the menu under the category “Re-use”.
  5. “Reuse” means the use by natural persons, legal persons and organisational entities without legal personality, hereinafter referred to as “users”, of public information or any part thereof, for commercial or non-commercial purposes other than its original public purpose of use for which the information was created.
  6. The user reusing public sector information contained at powietrze.gios.gov.pl/depoz is obliged to clearly and explicitly indicate the source of the information and specify the time at which the public information was created, and in particular, indicate whether he/she uses the information in its entirety or in parts, and if so, which parts. If the reused information made available on the website is processed (altered), the user is obliged to include appropriate information about the processing (alteration).
  7. The Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection is not responsible for the results of the processing of public sector information by the user reusing the information. In case of doubt about how to use the contents of the website, the user is advised to contact an authorised employee of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection (contact details are available on the subpage Contact).
  8. To the extent that the user intends to reuse the contents of the website and the manner of such use is to deviate from the conditions described in these rules, it is necessary to submit an application for reuse to the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection, pursuant to Article 39 of the Act of 11 August 2021 on open data and reuse of public sector information (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2023, item 1524).
  9. There are also works made available on the website (e.g., studies, analyses, presentations) for which third parties hold copyrights. The user intending to reuse the indicated works is obliged to submit the application referred to in Section 8 of these Terms of Use to the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection. In the event of copyright infringement, the provisions of the Act of 4 February 1994 on copyright and related rights (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2022, item 2509) apply.
  10. The Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection is not liable for any further sharing of information by users reusing it in violation of the regulations governing its protection.
